Black screen when connecting to VPS.

Getting a black screen on the VPS is a common issue. But a simple fix.

Solution 1:

  1. Firstly try restarting your VPS via the control panel.
  2. If the black screen persists, head to your desktop on your PC.
  3. Press your Windows Key, or click on the search bar at the bottom left.
  4. Search for either, Edit Group Policy or Registry Editor.
  5. Open either one.
    1. If you opened, "Edit Group Policy" navigate to Computer Configuration > Administration Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Connection Client. Set the "Turn Off UDP On Client" setting to Enabled.
    2. If you opened the "Registry Editor" navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Terminal Services\Client
      1. Then click on fClientDisableUDP
      2. Set the value to 0.
  6. Try connecting to the VPS again. If the issue persists, create a ticket on the website or for faster support, join our discord. https://discord.gg/5j5keFJ
